The Inspire Initiative
The Inspire Initiative funds new and innovative programs supporting opportunities in the arts for children and young adults with special needs.
Drums In Motion
This class is an inclusive homeschool program and is free for children with special needs. In this class, we will have fun learning basic beats while using drumsticks, exercise balls, and other rhythm instruments, all while getting a good workout. This class works on fine motor skills and bilateral coordination while actively following directions as an individual and as part of a group. Cardio has never been this much fun!
Fernald Family Surprise Birthday Party Fund
Many children with special needs in our community don't get invited to birthday parties. Many don't have friends to invite to their own. This surprise party fund is going to change that. We are teaming up with the students and parents at Inspire Studios to make sure that every child has a birthday party that they'll remember! Every party will be centered around art or music. Whether you want to nominate your child for a party, donate to this fund, or you and your children want to attend a party to support the special kids in our community, click below.
The Gehrig Scholarship
This scholarship was created to help fund private music and art lessons for children with autism and all other pervasive developmental disorders. This program can also help provide the necessary musical instruments or art tools required to participate in the arts. Click below for more information about this scholarship. Applications for this scholarship are now open and must be received by the second week of January.
