Here are some of the artists that will be displaying their works at Arts for Autism. These artists are from all around the United States and represent exactly what this foundation is about.

Frank Louis Allen

Frank is a Partially Sighted artist on the Spectrum and slowly losing his vision to a disease of the Retina. 'The Doodle shall Prevail' he screams....
’Frank Louis Allen discovered His Unique art style in November of 2011 after a serous back injury allowed him the chance to pick up his Letraset Pens that had laid in a draw for over half a decade. At this time he started his popular drawing blog to showcase his many and varied unique drawings. This showcase can be found through www.frankart.co.uk which in just a few months has gathered a following of thousands. He also host a weekly art show for the Social Network autismbrainstorm.org where anyone can come along to chat and create.
Frank Allen’s Art Style is extremely quick, confident, creative, and unencumbered by any contrivance. He achieves this by distracting himself with conversation, music, or even TV. Just enough that the lines are free to be what they will be. Unhindered by a set purpose or visual destination. In fact he rarely has any plan for a picture and this counter intuitively enables things to emerge that are instantly recognizable to both the viewer and to himself. Frank feels that this is partly possible due to him having A-Typical Autism (PDD-NOS) and being most at ease with a pen in his hand.
Recent projects have included Skateboards, Walls, Guitars and whatever surface he gets the chance to draw on. He hopes to find a way to support himself through his new found Art as he continues to create new and varied projects. Frank Allen is loosing his vision to a disease of the retina called Retinitis Pigmentosa which means he can not create new retina cells eventually leading to blindness. Despite this he has a strong feeling that he will be able to continue creating his art even if and when he loses his sight’’

Stephen R. Hand

I have been painting for over 17 years and I am self taught painter. I enjoyed a successful career in the financial services industry for over 25 years. One day I decided the corporate life I could stand no more and decided to pursue my love of creating and painting large impressionistic works of art. Most of my work is in large format and painting on that scale gives me freedom of melting and moving the colors together. I create with the form of layering multiple colors in order to give true impressionistic works to warm my collectors souls. I want future collectors to experience how colors live together and flow into creative harmony. Color is a blessing. It’s powerful, it flows, it melts, and it’s what makes the essences of beauty and creation. I love to swim in color and I only use colors that love each other, so it brings out moods of bliss and happiness. This is the essence of my art.

Marianne McCarthy

Marianne grew up in New York where she was surrounded by dressmakers, carpenters and artists. The children in the family were always welcomed to sit and watch as the adults worked their magic with fabric, color and design. Several years ago, this self taught artist, decided to channel her creative background into art.
Her love of family, travel and photography have always been her inspiration. With a simple design and the use of color she creates the mood and the feeling of a familiar experience. As her family grew so did her art. Nieces, nephews and grandchildren only enhanced her portfolio of paintings.
Whether it is the deep rich color of acrylics or the softer more defined lines of watercolor, Marianne looks forward to every day she can create.

Lullaby Lilly's

Lullaby Lilly's started from a love of sewing and the birth of a beautiful daughter, Lilly. She is my life's lullaby and I make items that are fashionable for baby, mothers and fathers.
These items are tried and children tested. All of the products are staples in baby, toddler, and kids everyday life. I began sewing my signature play-mats for Lilly so she could get her pediatrician recommended tummy time. They are so cushy and soft that parents of older children soon demanded mats as well.
After a few more products emerged, I now can create baskets for baby showers, birthdays or hospital gifts. There are 12 different products in my collection and endless possibilities to gift packages. Our products include; burp cloths, wash mitts, receiving blankets, tutus, newborn bustles, hooded towels, play mats, jingle blocks, lovies, beverage sleeves, lily pads, and nursing covers. Contact us today to start your unique gift set!

Michele Palenik: Purple Cloud Studios

With 20 years of experience as a Jeweler, a Fine Jewelry background, and a Marine Biology Degree, I find myself representing that space where science and art meet. I use materials that are high-tech in nature, but have simple mechanics . It is the blending part that fascinates me as an Artist, and the chemical and physical properties of my materials that excite me as a Scientist.
My work has evolved over the years from strictly jewelry to mixed-media wall art, tableware, bowls, and home accents. Working with highly saturated colors of glass is not only inspirational, but believed by some, to be therapeutic for your brain- keeping a balance of health and well-being. I find that balance is the key to a happy life.
All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind and signed by me. I wake up with a color or a design in my mind, ready to start my day and see that vision come to fruition. The results are multi-layered and multi-process with many twists and turns in between! Sometimes , the pieces have minds of their own and mysteriously determine their own fate. It is up to me to listen. Working with Art Glass is a lesson in patience.
For the past 20 years, I have been represented by numerous galleries and museums throughout the US and Caribbean. I look forward to what comes next every day! Artfully Yours, Michele C. Palenik

Don Kobasky

Don Kobasky was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1965 and attended college there before dropping out to become a railroad track worker with the New York City Transit Authority. Soon afterwards he began tattooing professionally and eventually rose to the top echelon, winning several awards and appearing in dozens of internationally-distributed tattoo publications. In 2003 Don quit tattooing at the height of his career to pursue oil painting. Don's clients include the founding families of the Outback Steakhouse, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Jimmy Destri, Heismann Trophy and NFL Pro Bowler Eddie George, NFL MVP the late great Steve McNair as well as several other NFL players, and countless collectors of fine art from around the globe. Innamorato Art

Born in New York where I lived For 35 years. Now married with son and daughter living in the tampa bay area. Currently working as a Muralist, decorative painter, while painting commisioned art work for a living. Looking to expand in surrealist study, while furthering my career in mural portrait and decorative painting.
Nature's Clay Art

Nature has always inspired me. Seeing the beauty in life and in nature I try to create pieces that reflect that vision. I use all of the colors in nature, which includes the entire spectrum and love the organic imperfections of high fire glazes. Each piece is handmade, unique and original and I try to create something that is not only beautiful but also functional. I strive to represent art in nature and nature in art. Each leaf is identified on the bottom of the piece. Many of the pieces are made to hang on the wall after use, such as the sushi dishes and taco holders and even platters. I also like to find a twist on the name of the leaf in the name of my sculptural pieces, such as my Sea Grape Turtles, my Fiddle Fig Fiddles, The Cat and the Fiddle Fig and more.
David Lopez

David Lopez is an artist who specializes in creating works of art from nature. Having been an artist since childhood his ability to in-vision beauty in what other might discard is truly unique. David received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Ringling college of Art and Design and since has worked in the design field as well as a Freelance Artist. Using Palm Tree husks to create safari animals, marine life and birds his work inspires others to look beyond the canvas to find beauty and passion.
Palm Creations are exclusive, unexampled works of art crafted from the husk of a Queen Palm. This "husk" is the base of the palm frond and grows from the heart of the tree. After trimming, falling from growth, and natural causes, the husks are collected and cleaned. Some of the husks used come from palms which are fifty plus years in age. The husks are then treated, carved and prepped for the painting process. As part of the creation, each piece is carefully selected according to its look and shape to interpret a specific species. After painting, Palm Creations receive multiple coats of clear sealant to protect and preserve the wood. Palm Creations use Earth-friendly paints and finishes. They come ready to hang and can be placed indoors or part of any outside décor. Each Creation is a unique and original painting and derive from the Tampa Bay area here in Florida.

Aussie Milinovich

Aussie Milinovich, a Tampa Bay resident, local beach bum, creative person. While many artists have had formal training, I started my painting with clothes to cover spots on expensive clothing that would not come out, the more shows and the more interaction with various people, the more experimental I became. I believe an artist’s evolves and is constantly learning, or challenging themselves to do something they have never done before, and to implement different styles. I sit and look back on my work and see such a difference from where the process started to where it is now. I find it fascinating to create a piece from a vision and see if upon drying it turns into my vision or not. It is a way to relax and use my creative side of my brain rather than the trying to make everyone happy it’s a true escape. I am only beginning to emerge in my creativity; I look forward to learning more, experimenting more and adding color to everyone’s lives.
