The Inspire Initiative

The Inspire Initiative supports and funds innovative programs that expand access to the arts for children and young adults with special needs. Through creativity, inclusion, and community engagement, we strive to ensure every individual has the opportunity to experience, explore, and thrive in the arts.

Fernald Family Event Fund

The Fernald Family Event Fund helps make inclusive, welcoming events possible for children and young adults with special needs. These experiences not only create meaningful moments for families, but also educate the community on simple, impactful ways to be more inclusive. The Inspire Foundation hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including our signature Annual Sensitive Santa experience.

Musical Theatre

In partnership with Inspire Studios, we offer an inclusive musical theatre program for students ages 6–17. Our goal is for every student to enjoy the learning process, build confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts. The program includes two productions each year, both ending in live performances for friends and family.

Sensitive Santa

Sensitive Santa is a one-of-a-kind holiday experience designed specifically for children and young adults with special needs. This event is thoughtfully adapted to meet each family’s unique sensory, dietary, and comfort needs. Through community volunteers and generous donations, we create a welcoming environment while also modeling how inclusive events can be designed for all.
